I’m Allie, a self-taught jeweller living in Cardiff.

I started making jewellery in 2021, initially soldering basic shapes and forms. I then taught myself sand casting, which allowed me to experiment more and eventually find my own style as a jeweller.

Making my own jewellery has had a big impact on me, my self-expression and my self-worth. Having a creative practice helps me manage stress and my mental health in a way that's not been possible for me before.

My style of jewellery is about having items that you wear every day that are unique,  beautiful and make you feel confident. I want them to be natural but new, taking forms from nature and refining them to something strong and permanent.

The name Vase is a nod to my grandma, Madeline Early. Her handmade vase sits in my living room; it's beautiful, and I use it every day. It reminds me to be creative and confident with the forms I make.
